Dehydration is a problem majority of us face, whether it's because we just don't drink enough water or we're avid fans of snuggling up and turning up the heating. Typically dehydrated skin appears lackluster and dull, sallow or "tired," it also doesn't "bounce back" easily and is more prone to congestion (bumps, blackheads) and acne. The easiest way to tell though, is how your skin feels once you've washed it. If it feels tight and uncomfortable, then you're dehydrated!
The HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase is the thinest serum texture I've ever had my hands on. Although it'a bi-phase serum, it doesn't feel particularly oily and feels more like water that instantly soaks into the skin. According to Clarins, it's an intensive, moisture-replenishing bi-phase facial serum that revives ultra-thirsty skin. Acting at all levels of the skin it helps to restore the skin's natural hydration mechanisms and maintain moisture levels for newly replenished skin. The active ingredients in the serum are: Katafray, Sorbier bud and Chondrus crispus extracts, which work to reinforce the surface skin’s barrier effect and boost skin hydration and radiance.
The Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil is a targeted treatment for dehydrated skin that tones, revitalises and restores radiance to moisture-depleted skin. 100% natural plant extract the oil uses the principles of aromatherapy and phytotherapy to help balance the skin. Made from 100% pure plant extracts, this face oil contains extracts of Rosewood, Patchouli and Blue Orchid. Added Hazelnut Oil helps prevent moisture loss and the formation of fine lines. I use this in the evening, once I've cleansed and toned my skin, in place of a night cream.
As a trio, these products help to keep my skin looking healthy and feeling refreshed. I can definitely notice when I haven't applied the serum and moisturiser. My skin feels smoother without makeup and my makeup does apply more evenly and looks fresher for longer when on top of the HydraQuench products.
