Elvive Extraordinary Clay 3-Step System + Dry Shampoo

I have been a fan of the Elvive hair line for quite some time for now. I have been using the Fibrology line which helps with thickening the hair and providing volume. However, when I saw this was being released I was beyond excited. My hair has been greasy for as long as I remember, to the point where I have to wash it daily.

I am aware it is not helpful to wash your hair daily because you strip the oils however if my hair is greasy, I can't turn up to work looking a mess.. So I was stuck in a rut - until now. This range is designed to target oily roots and dry ends so I was super excited to give the range a whirl.

The 3-Step System is a pre-wash masque, a shampoo and a conditioner. This was strange to me because I'm used to masques being applied after or instead of a conditioner and an intensive treatment but this aims to absorbs the oils on the scalp. The mask is applied just to the scalp, when dry, and is a paste texture that smells minty!

After 5 minutes, you proceed as normal and apply your shampoo and rinse. Following with your conditioner, focusing from mid-length to the ends of the hair. The texture of these two products is no different to any normal shampoo and conditioner but they do leave your hair feeling light, clean and shiny.

I've seen one review on this range where they said that it left their hair limp and lacking volume however, I found the exact opposite. My hair was full of bounce and felt lighter and cleaner than ever.  So I think you might just need to see what happens with your hair! I can't believe how much of a difference this has made to my hair. I used to wake up with ridiculously greasy hair but now I can actually have "second day hair" which hasn't been possible for as long as I can remember.

As for the dry shampoo, it's invisible for starters. This means that even women with dark hair like me can use it - yay! As much as people rave about other dry shampoos, I always struggle because they leave me looking grey. Dry shampoo is great for increasing volume in the hair as well as absorbing oil in the hair so when I do go with my new "second day hair" I just pop some in the roots to get me through the day and increase the volume!

Honestly, I love this range. I already have it stocked up in the bathroom cupboard. Best thing is, it's cheap! The shampoo/conditioner normally retails for £3.99 and the masque £5.99 in Boots/Tesco & other retailers but is often on offer - 3 for 2 or even 1/2 price!
