I can't get over how many people have never heard of this trick before. Whilst I was training to become a makeup artist, my only difficulty I really come across was perfect winged liner. I could create the perfect red lip and perfectly balanced smokey eyes - but liner would just take me forever! So when I come across this little trick, I was super excited! It's super easy but gives the perfect result so I wanted to share it with you. All you need is some tape and your eye makeup!
First things first, I apply my base - MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. This evens out the lid and helps to hold my eye makeup on all day! Then I apply MAC's Orb Eyeshadow all over the lid to set the primer and create a base blending colour.
Then I tear off about an inch of tape! It's quite thick tape so I cut the width of the tape in half, so it's still about an inch long but thinner! Then I apply it to the eye area! Depending on how you position the tape, depends on how your eye makeup will turn out. The reason I apply it before my eyeshadow is because it gives a sharp clean edge to my makeup but still allows me to blend as much as I'd like. Once I've applied the eyeshadow, I apply my eyeliner.
Once I've applied my eyeliner, I peel off the tape carefully and using some cotton and cleanser, just remove any makeup that's gone over the tape! Then I apply my lashes and I'm all done! Super easy and it looks like you're an absolute pro!
